So understandably it's easy to go into panic mode about what to wear!
Especially as weddings can end up being quite expensive to attend too.
In this week's blog post, I wanted to show you how easy it can be to find a great wedding guest outfit on a budget.
There is no need to spend three figures on a dress or even a whole outfit.
I am going to show you a great option that will look super fancy and leave you with a few pounds to spare.
The High Street shops are a great place to start as well as so many fantastic online stores too.
I will leave a list of my favourites below so you can go and check them out.
However, the stores that stood out for me the most were H&M, Primark and New Look, all offering great chic and cheap accessory, shoe and dress options.
In H&M I managed to find this stunning satin look dress, I couldn’t believe it!
The quality of the fabric looked very expensive so imagine my disbelief when I discovered it was only £39.99.
This strapless number is completely boned in the body with a cinched in waist and a flared skirt which will flatter all body types and create a beautiful hourglass shape.
The quality and the cut of this dress is unbelievable for the price and it is definitely the best value for money I found on the high street.
So beautifully tailored with such pretty detailing on the waist and the stunning dark navy colour which oozes sophistication and elegance.
A very classic and feminine piece perfect for weddings and formal occasions. It also comes in a very pretty pink too.
As well as the dress I managed to find some amazing shoe and accessory options too.
When picking the shoes and bag, I wanted to find something classic that would be easy to use again.
As the dress was such a stand out piece I wanted to keep the rest fairly low-key, remember less is always more!
The bag and shoes I picked out were both from New Look.
I thought white with the navy was the perfect colour to compliment this look, as well as being totally effortless to match with the rest of your wardrobe.
You can easily get lots of wear out of these two pieces.
I personally don't like buying lots of new things for one look so I will always try to pick accessories I can use on many different occasions.
The clutch bag was a steal at £7.99, it also has a pull-out strap so you can wear it cross body with cute day dresses or even your jeans!
I love the simplicity of it with just the one little gold button.
It makes the bag so easy to blend with your wardrobe.
The white sling back heels were another great bargain at just £17.99 in New Look.
Like the bag, they are white and simple, easy to get lots of wear out of after the big event.
For finishing touches a trip to Primark was the perfect stop.
This elegant and simple diamante choker was a stunning addition to the outfit.
At just £4 it adds that pop of glitz to finish the outfit off.
A multi pack of pearl look rings and some simple bracelets were my final purchases at just £3 and £2.50.
The pearl detail is very classic and I thought a subtle way to set off the white accessories.
I am so pleased with this look, at just £75.50 it is completely budget friendly option and very elegant.
I hope this post inspired you to take a new approach when purchasing your occasion wear and look in some new places.
